Luminaria's Contemporary Arts Festival is the premier showcase event for artists of all genres. We inspire the City of San Antonio with weekend celebration of the arts. 

Saturday, November 9th from 7 PM to Midnight in Hemisfair is the free after-dark Contemporary Arts Festival of San Antonio, Texas. Artistic partners include Artist Foundation of San Antonio, National Association of Latino Arts & Culture, Contemporary Arts Month and the Mexican Consulate.

Sunday, November 10th from 11 AM – 3  PM in Hemisfair is the Community Arts Day. A family-friendly day with artist-led demonstrations, workshops, and brunches sparks creativity while an Artist Market provides a chance to purchase artworks and memorabilia.

Sunday, November 10th is the festival’s closing event at Mission San José. An artist-led program sheds light on the “Queen of the Missions” with unique interpretive artwork. Details to be announced in the fall.

We transform urban spaces and make a powerful impact on the revitalization of San Antonio’s downtown neighborhoods.

Since its inception, Luminaria's curatorial approach has been driven by art experts who represent a diverse San Antonio. Luminaria's Featured Artists showcase innovative, edgy and ever inspiring art in the forms of visual art, music, performance, film, poetry and more. Luminaria is San Antonio's cultural connector between artists, audiences and the world.
